The prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, on Sunday endorsed for the first time the principle of a Palestinian state alongside Israel, but on condition that the state was demilitarized and that the Palestinians recognized Israel as the state of the Jewish people.
Can anyone imagine any country in the world, either breaking away through force, or through a negotiation, to form their own government and to be dictated as to what kind of state they should have? Whether they can have a national defense or capitulate to a complete demilitarization of their country?
Israel is making geopolitical and settlement decisions based on the interpretations of the Old Testament in the Bible. Benjamin Netanyahu referred repeatedly to the West Bank, the territory presumed to comprise the bulk of a future Palestinian state, by its biblical name of Judea and Samaria, declaring it “the land of our forefathers.”
Will the Obama administration and the silent biased media in our country allow this to happen?
